Underside of suspension bridge deck against clear sky (low angle view)

The dark underside of a suspension bridge deck cuts diagonally across a clear sky, seen from directly below its edge. Thin vertical hanger cables rise at regular intervals from the railing to a latticed main cable, which runs parallel to the deck and narrows toward the lower right corner. Most of the deck falls into deep shadow, close to a silhouette. Warm light breaks through near the far end, spreading in pale streaks across the weathered, stained surface. A row of ribbed brackets lines the outer edge of the structure and repeats into the distance. The sky shifts from deep blue-gray at the top of the frame to a pale glow at the bottom edge.
