Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan - June 11, 2026: A massive wall of precisely cut stone blocks rises beside a curving paved path in the garden of the Imperial Palace in Chiyoda, Tokyo. The large rectangular stones fit closely together in even courses, their dark surfaces patched with moss and shaded by pine and broadleaf trees growing along the top. People walk up the wide gravel-textured path toward the far end of the wall. In the foreground a woman with red hair walks away from the camera holding a water bottle, while two people ahead carry white parasols. A low clipped hedge lines the foot of the wall, and a curved hedge borders a lawn on the right.
