Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan - June 7, 2026: A young woman walks past a corner flower shop on a narrow street in Jingumae, in Tokyo's Shibuya ward. She wears a navy hooded jacket and wide dark trousers and holds a plastic bottle in her right hand. Potted plants, hanging baskets and pots of flowering petunias fill the wooden steps and shelves in front of the shop, under dark green awnings that read Florist Harajuku with a telephone number. Above the entrance, a hanging sign with the character for flower repeats the shop name, and a vertical sign beside it advertises Kiku-Masamune sake and seasonal cuisine. The two-storey building has a rough white plaster facade, metal balconies with corrugated plastic roofs and a tangle of overhead cables. The sky is overcast and the asphalt is grey and dry.
