Tokyo, Japan - June 11, 2026: Moss-covered stone lanterns stand in rows at the entrance of a temple above the zoo in Ueno Park, Tokyo. Two tall lanterns rise from the bare earth in the foreground, their carved stone roofs and pillars weathered and patched with green moss. A paved stone path curves between them toward a low white wall topped with dark roof tiles, with a bamboo fence and more lanterns lining its edge. On the right, a man in a light grey suit, blue hat and sunglasses stands on the path holding a white bag, while another visitor in a black T-shirt and shorts walks past on the left. Tall trees in full leaf shade the grounds.
